ARTIST STATEMENT
My contemporary oil paintings are of timeless landscapes. The paint and brush reflect many days of unnoticeable growth-chance twists and turns, and struggle to survive both in the natural landscape and in achieving a successful painting. The alternative choice of color and simplified shapes invites the viewer to enter the painted landscape and explore its deeper meaning.
